About Onerva Kari

A background in computer science nurtured my passion for innovation and trained me to value structure, precision, and detail. These same attributes are found in calendars, which is why I deeply appreciate their clean simplicity and meticulous design. I use calendars to organize everything from appointments and dates to trips and personal goals. However, after scouring the web for different calendars, I found myself still searching for something much more simple and less complicated. So I began blending my technical skills with my creative interest in drawing and designing to provide calendars that can be printed either monthly or for an entire year.

My Approach to Calendar Design

The ideal calendar must have a perfectly aligned grid layout and balanced spacing to help you capture information at a glance. I try to reflect these qualities across all the calendars we offer at GrabCalendar.

My goal is to help others feel inspired and have clarity when they use our calendars to organize their personal schedules. I try to do this by creating beautiful and functional designs while prioritizing simplicity.

What started out as a simple calendar project for me has over time become something I deeply care about. I am very meticulous about the accuracy of the information we publish because I understand that even a little mistake can be misleading. I often find myself spending extended hours designing calendars, researching holidays and thinking about different ways people use calendars so I improve the calendar designs to help meet their needs.

I have learned that different months often come with different planning needs. January is usually about fresh starts and setting new goals for the year, August often revolves around back-to-school preparations while December mostly revolves around family gatherings, holidays and getting gifts for loved ones. I wanted GrabCalendar to reflect these monthly distinctions, which is why I try to make the calendars have a different feel as the months roll by.

Keeping GrabCalendar Simple and Accessible for Everyone

GrabCalendar has become an online resource for many people looking for a simple way to organize their schedule. I get immense joy from knowing that someone can print one of our calendars and paste it on a classroom wall, refrigerator, or somewhere at home, and this motivates me to keep improving the site and my designs. Lastly, I believe that access to productivity tools should not have to be complicated or expensive. This is why I try to make the accessibility of our calendars as uncomplicated as possible. There are no signups needed to download or print one of our calendars, and all the calendars we provide are completely free. For me, GrabCalendar transcends just dates and grids on a page.

It’s really about helping people have free access to a simple tool that brings them order and empowers them to prepare for the future.
